During Dutch Design Week 2017, Studio Mieke Meijer presented a new project for the Dutch window styling brand Luxaflex. The project was part of the exhibition Enlighten by Dutch Invertuals. Six designers shared their vision on the concept of daylight, going beyond what’s obvious and known. '59' is a geometric installation which plays with the transition between open and closed. The dynamic surface could be driven by various data from its surroundings, such as light intensity and temperature among others. The structure gives a clear insight into its mechanics, creating a level of understanding between product and observer.
