Who we are

Studio Mieke Meijer is a Dutch design studio founded by Mieke Meijer and Roy Letterlé.

The studio maneuvers between the architecture and design field. This allows them to move freely, regardless of architectural restrictions and beyond the boundaries of the traditional product. The studio aspires sustainable design solutions, reflecting the logic of construction and respecting material properties, while pushing the limits. Their scalable concepts and tailor-made projects are designed, developed, and manufactured in-house.

Constructive imagery and tectonic detailing are the fundamentals of the studio’s strong and recognizable signature. These specific characteristics often relate directly to their architectural references.

Meijer (Wezep, 1982) graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven. Letterlé (Kerkrade, 1978) graduated as a structural engineer from PTH Eindhoven. Meijer and Letterlé both lecture and give workshops at various educational and cultural Institutions. Currently they are teaching at Design Academy Eindhoven and HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. Furthermore they are co-founders of NewspaperWood BV.
